Alabama among 16 states holding primary elections on Tuesday | #elections | #alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Polls are now open for Alabama’s primary election.

Secretary of State Wes Allen is encouraging everyone to take this primary seriously and go out and vote.

When voting, make sure you have a photo ID. If you’re not sure where you’re polling location is, you can find out here.

Allen wants to emphasize that all Alabama elections are safe, secure, fair, and transparent.

“You know, we’ve got paper ballots. We’ll always have paper ballots. The tabulators that we use are not connected to the internet – cannot be connected to the internet. The only plugin that tabulator is the one that plugs into that wall for electricity. We do things right in Alabama, and I’m very proud of all the local elected officials that run our elections. They do an outstanding job,” said Allen.
