MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Election season is in full swing, with the 2024 primary election happening on Tuesday, March 5.
Voters throughout the state will have the opportunity to select a presidential candidate for both the Republican and Democratic parties, as well as various other positions throughout the state.

February 29 is the last day for voters to apply for absentee ballots in person, and those ballots returned by mail must be received by noon on March 5.
If a primary runoff election is necessary in any of the races, that election will happen on April 16.
