The Washington City Council held a special meeting Tuesday. The meeting was to discuss and consider a resolution to set a public hearing on February 21st for the total maximum property tax dollars levied for the fiscal year 2024 budget. The Council voted unanimously to set the hearing for February 21st during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting. The hearing and adoption of the final budget is expected to take place at the March 21st regular Washington City Council meeting.
