A Texas A&M conference game is on Tuesday night for the first time this season. After collecting a couple more wins in their last two games, the Aggies (15-6, 7-1 SEC) are set to enter Bud Walton Arena and earn a victory against the Arkansas Razorbacks (14-7, 3-5 SEC).
The Razorbacks, led by guard duo Anthony Black and Ricky Council IV, are coming off of a 67-64 loss in the Big-12 Challenge against Baylor, while the Aggies are in the beginning stages of another conference win streak — fresh off of back-to-back wins against Auburn and Vanderbilt.
Texas A&M is back in the underdog column, however, playing on the road against a team that A&M coach Buzz Williams described as having arguably “the best perimeter in the country”.
For an Aggies win, Williams also emphasized not turning the ball over in order to prevent momentum-building by the Razorbacks.
Key for Texas A&M could be solid performances by senior guard Tyrece Radford and junior forward Henry Coleman, both of whom finished with double-digit points in the Aggies’ win over Vanderbilt.
A solid defensive showing could also make the difference for the Aggies, who will look to slow down Council and Black en route to a potential road upset against Arkansas.
