Second annual Mayor’s Autumnal Green Fair to kick off in downtown Ann Arbor


ANN ARBOR – Join more than 40 nonprofits and exhibitors on Friday, Oct. 7 to celebrate all things sustainable in Tree Town.

Starting at 6 p.m. on Main Street, the Mayor’s Green Fair will focus on several themes including plant-based foods, clean water, solar technologies and green transportation.

Attendees can join a parade (costumes encouraged!), get a stamp for free ice cream at Washtenaw Dairy, meet Leslie Science & Nature Center’s birds of prey, listen to artist Ki5 and play games to win prizes.

Those interested in learning about electric transportation can stop by an e-cargo bike show to test bikes and get free pumpkins.

Here’s the schedule:

  • 6 p.m.: Parade for the Planet

  • 6:30 p.m.: Ki5

  • 7:30 p.m.: e-cargo Bike Show

  • 8 p.m. : games, quizzes and prizes

The Mayor’s Green Fair has been held in Ann Arbor for 17 years, according to officials. In 2021, the city added the Mayor’s Autumnal Green Fair.
