Minot City Council VP running for Re-Election | #citycouncil

MINOT ND (KXNET) — Minot City Council Vice-President Dr. Steve Podrygula announced Wednesday that he has made it onto the ballot re-election to the Council on June 11.

Podrygula’s priorities are:

  • making sure tax dollars are wisely spent
  • increasing openness and accountability in government
  • enhancing public safety
  • improving infrastructure with an emphasis on flood protection, streets and traffic flow
  • enhancing the quality and efficiency of city services.

Podrygula’s priorities now differ from those of his 2020 campaign by placing emphasis on improving infrastructure in streets and traffic flow (whereas he formerly only emphasized improving infrastructure in flood protection).

“I believe my 45 years of experience as a clinical and health psychologist can be of particular value in challenging times like these,” Podrygula said in a press release, similarly to his 2020 campaign. “I’ve learned how to listen to people, and earn their confidence and trust.”

Podrygula has been a Minot resident for over 40 years and served on the Council for 16 years, emphasizing that “independence, experience, and common sense do make a difference.”
