Michael Fincher won a second term as Logansport’s Mayor.

The city got clearance to proceed on accepting bids for construction on two access roads into the new Ivy Tech Community College campus.

Logansport Memorial Hospital will open ExpressMed, a walk-in clinic, at Cass Plaza.

Ideas for revitalizing the downtown were presented by three consultants hired by Logans Landing Association and the city. One idea was to re-establish a small segment of the Wabash & Erie Canal somewhere in the downtown another was to join the Main Street program through the Indiana Department of Commerce.

An ice cream shop opened at 1800 E. Market Street and it is called 1800 Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop.

The Logansport Taco Bell is moving from 3419 E. Market to 3625 E. Market, which formerly housed Arby’s Roast Beef.

100 years

The ReVere Motor Company was sold to C. B. Haffenburg for $52,000.

Logansport was bombed from the air by five Army bombers. The bombs were papers telling residents about army aviation. No harm came to anyone.

Otto Kraus, one of the oldest businessmen in Logansport, a pioneer, is selling his business the Otto Shoe and Clothing Company.

Boerger Brothers have opened a grocery in their own building at 317 N. Cicott Street.

A train of fine, large, brightly colored circus cars carrying the Sells Floto circus to its winter quarters in Peru passed through the city. Twelve of the cars were passenger cars and twenty-three carried animals and equipment.
