Grand Rapids boat dealer buys California dealership


GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Tommy’s Boats, a Grand Rapids-based boat dealer with 14 locations in eight states, has purchased Larson Marine, a California-based dealership with stores near Sacramento and Stockton.

“Larson Marine is a family-owned business that has bred a passionate, fun and professional culture focused on community – this is in lockstep with Tommy’s,” Matt Borisch, president, Tommy’s Boats LLC, said in a statement. “We are honored to be entrusted in growing the legacy of Bob and Craig Larson by adding such a strong team to the Tommy’s family. We could not be more excited to continue our growth in California!”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Larson Marine serves customers in Sacramento, San Jose, Lake Tahoe, Pleasanton and Silicon Valley.

Tommy’s Boats, established in 1981, has Michigan dealerships in Plainfield Township, Walloon Lake and Waterford. Its other dealerships are located in California, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Colorado and Tennessee.
