To the Editor:
Regarding your cover story about California’s progressive agenda, I am glad that there are competing versions of capitalism being advanced in different, major states like California and Texas (“Will California Lead the Country or Just Alienate Business?” Oct. 14). Let the marketplace of ideas or, in this case, business models compete and win out over time. As a society, we have much to learn from each version as to what works and what does not. Ideally, the best of both are merged in the future. That will, however, require us to put politics aside.
