The circuit covers Autauga, Chilton and Elmore counties.

“I’m very appreciative of the support we received,” said Robinson, who serves as chief assistant district attorney for the office. “I want to thank everyone for their support. It was a long campaign, but we got our message out.”

Long serving district attorney Randall Houston did not seek re-election after about 30 years in the post. Robinson has been with the office more than 12 years, with more than 10 serving as the chief assistant.

Holton, a defense attorney, could not be reached for comment.
